GCS provides brokering and export services to companies in the United States who have articles, services, and related technical data that are designated as defense articles or defense services pursuant to sections 38 and 47(7) of the Arms Export Act that constitute the United States Munitions List (USML). Our brokering activities include any action on behalf of another to facilitate the manufacture, export, permanent import, transfer, reexport, or transfer of a U.S. or foreign defense article or defense service. This also includes financing, insuring, transporting, or freight forwarding defense articles and defense services; or soliciting, promoting, negotiating, contracting for, arranging, or otherwise assisting in the purchase, sale, transfer, loan, or lease of a defense article or defense service.
